The Complete Home Buyers website was a first for us and for real estate on Long Island. Our first commercial website, it introduced buyers to a new type of broker, the buyer's broker or agent. The website was a winner all around. It generated business for its owner; business for The Webshop when an agency in Cleveland asked us to clone it; and awards for excellence in design, navigation and service to the real estate industry. An auspicious beginning indeed!

There have been a number of other awards over the years. None have given us as much satisfaction as the two that recognized the material we wrote for instructional and educational purposes. LIGHTSPAN recognized our RMS Training articles for "academic excellence". Wannalearn.com chose to include our article, How to Stop Smoking in its catalog of "first-rate, family-safe online tutorials, guides and instructionally oriented Websites." Thanks to both!

Our most recent awards came from the American Society of Appraisers for the websites we created and maintain for the New York City (#30) and Long Island (#72) Chapters. At its 66th annual International Appraisal Conference August 26-28 in San Diego, California, the Society awarded them Certificates of Special Recognition for their "outstanding Web sites [featuring] creative design and up-to-date content." That double-header led to a commission to produce the website for ASA's Northern New Jersey chapter, which won the award for Best Website at the ASA's 67th annual conference in Tampa, Florida, July 14-16, 2003. We're currently reworking the website of ASA's Northern California & Nevada Chapters. Look for that to win next year's award!
